What To Expect @ His Church
At His Church, our gatherings are centered on Christ, His Word, and the mutual encouragement of His people. We seek to follow the pattern taught in scripture each week by devoting ourselves to fellowship, the teaching of Scripture, prayer, and the breaking of bread (Acts 2). Rather than simply attending a service, every believer is encouraged weekly to actively participate as the Lord leads through prayer, testimony, Scripture, discussion, encouragement, and service (1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Ephesians 4:11–16). We gather with the conviction that God works through every member of His body to strengthen, encourage, and build up the church as we grow together in faith and obedience to Christ.
Fellowship
Fellowship is more than simply spending time together—it is our shared participation in the life and mission of Christ. During this time, we come together in unity to encourage one another, share what the Lord has been teaching us through His Word, prayer, and daily life, and celebrate His faithfulness through testimonies, songs, and praise. We also discuss needs within our church family and seek practical ways to support and care for one another.
Preaching and Teaching
The preaching and teaching of God's Word is central to our gatherings. Scripture serves as the foundation for everything we believe and practice. Those who are gifted and equipped to teach will help explain and apply God's Word, equipping believers for faithful service. Our teaching times often include discussion, questions, and interaction, allowing us to learn together and grow in our understanding of the Scriptures as a body.
Prayer
Prayer is a dedicated and intentional part of our gathering. We set aside time for both personal and corporate prayer, seeking the Lord together and bringing our requests before Him. We also practice praying Scripture, allowing God's Word to guide and shape our prayers. This time helps us deepen our dependence on the Lord and align our hearts with His will.
Breaking of Bread
We share a meal together as an expression of fellowship, hospitality, and unity within the body of Christ. This time provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships and enjoy life together as a church family. In addition, we observe the Lord's Supper remembering Christ's sacrifice, proclaiming His death and resurrection, and affirming our unity as one body in Him.
